If they worked 23-24 hours a week with kids but only ever took 2 weeks off for vacation at Christmas over the year. They have no children of their own.

What are you asking exactly?

Are you talking about your nanny job?

Jealous of mum boss.

I am just asking what people would think if someone had that pattern of work schedule

I'd think it was none of my business. A lot of people only get two weeks of vacation a year; they can take it whenever they want to. Why would anyone "think" anything about it at all?

I don't think anything, really, about other's pattern of work schedule.

Why does in matter, in your scenario, that the person works with kids, but doesn't have any of their own? Seems like completely irrelevant information. It's as if you also mentioned their shoe color.

I wouldn't think anything. What does working with kids have to do with it?

Someone working part time should probably consider themselves lucky to get any vacation time in today's world.

I don't understand your question. I don't care how much or not other people work as long as they don't ask me for money.
