I have a university degree in social sciences, and am considering a career change to sales or academia. Most times jobs in social sciences pay noticeably less than in other fields with similar education. Looking for opportunities that provide advancement and stronger compensation. Any recommendations on how to increase my chances to land a job (besides networking and highlighting transferable skills) in that field? Thanks.
Thanks for the suggestion. I like the idea of teaching/selling courses. I think the different means of doing that would be through Udemy, or YouTube. I'll think about that more to see what I can teach.
By academia do you mean teaching k-12? You typically need a PhD in a subject to teach in college/university which is what academia typically refers to.

I have a master's degree, no I wasn't looking to teach. More so looking for an academic administrative job that requires a master's.

So, what kind of administrative job do you think you qualify for? You need job related skills and experience to bring to the table in order to make it to the interview list.
