About a hundred million years ago before open seating was dreamt up and when I was an administrative assistant at a defense contractor, our group and others were moved into a new building. I quickly noted that all the admins got private offices, except me. I was assigned a desk next to the hallway. It made me look like a receptionist.

I complained and was moved to an office.
