To hot in India in most parts.

One option is to spend the winters there and the summers here. I'm a big fan of the tropics so India would fit. I currently spend a couple months every winter in warmer climates such as FL, Hong Kong, and the Caribbean.

Its easier to use the prevalent anti-immigration sentiment to use it against foreign workers and outsourcing firms, but people don't realize the American companies are also the major part of the fabric. Just think how hard its going to be for the 20 year olds serving lemonades and pizza at a typical desi birthday party for the kids.

The OP displays a typical sentiment that most Indians display. He lectures about him busting his a off on weekends and calls it a cultural problem and Americans doing drugs, pleasure etc. Trying to brag about his roots yet wants to get rid of them as they are a direct threat to him.

And of course there are several other Indian people forming advocacy groups and calling this "injustice" etc. If only they protested like this or were united against corruption or cleanliness in India, they wouldnt be in this position seeking greener pastures.
I made a list of all the companies asking for Dreamers, Amnesty for illegals, H1Bs, H2Bs, etc and posted it online in a blog and posted links to said blog articles on various places on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc. Also, as a backup, I put some of the stuff on Conservapedia too in case my main one got taken down for bogus hatespeech or other phony TOS violation claims. (And I have other soft copies of some of the material in the blogs too.)

If there is a true shortage here or there for in-demand fields, fine, but with restrictions and time limitations.

Somebody sent me a fav and said they loved the idea, so I decided to post the list:

Amnesty Supporters:

Direct: https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...ty-supporters/

Indirect: https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...ty-supporters/

Anti-Deportation Groups and Sanctuary Cities:

Part 1: https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...tation-groups/

Part 2: https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...groups-part-2/

Colleges Pushing Phony Immigration Reform (both fake STEM shortage and pushing for goodies for illegals): https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...ration-reform/

Companies Offshoring: https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...verseas-labor/

Day Without Immigrants Supporters (more anti-ICE guys): https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...ts-supporters/

Dream Act Supporters: https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...the-dream-act/

EB-5 Visa Supporters: https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...sa-supporters/

E-Verify Opponents: https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...ify-opponents/

Groups Helping Illegal Alien Youth (mainly DACA supporters)

Part 1: https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...umented-youth/

Part 2: https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...-youth-part-2/

Guys Giving Illegals Education Benefits, Drivers Licenses, and Obamaphones: https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...d-obamaphones/

H1-B Visas Pushers: https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...-visa-pushers/

H-2B Visa Pushers: https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...-visa-pushers/

L-1 Visa Supporters: https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...sa-supporters/

Open Borders Groups: https://patriotmongoose.wordpress.co...orders-groups/

Also, I dug deeper than this, of course. I found all the guys that were pushing the Common Core, etc and found a trillion dollar data mining industry hoping to profit off of that, including, largely, our friends in Silly-con Valley pushing the H1B Visa and DACA too. Also, among those plans were plans to create an "energy workforce", a "healthcare workforce", a "tech workforce", etc. So apparently they're using the Common Core, Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act, the Every Student Succeeds Act, that Perkins Career Technical Education funding, and their planned PROSPER Act (which makes THEM prosper, us, not so much) and involves loads of global companies, including loads of sleazy gates groups, Zuckerberg (Chan Zuckerberg Initiative), Clinton Global Initiatives, and even Mozilla, as well as creepy global groups like the IMG Global Learning Consortium, and even all the way up to UNESCO. Oh, and about 13 different federal departments in this program called Career Pathways.

So if it seems that the game is rigged except for rich CEOs and politicians, you thought right. Which is why I'm planning, long term, to be self-employed. Companies don't like hiring people like me that have big mouths, you see. And it doesn't help that I have Aspergers and ADHD and most of the things around here are customer service and that I have very little work experience. (I do have some work experience and only a few months. Though I do have a Bachelors in Computer Science and an Associates in Arts and an Associates in Science. However, I think I'd sooner get hired independently developing websites or something that for a company. Already have a few people talking to me of developing websites. First, I was working, than got laid off (found out soon in that it was only temporary (never told me that when I first applied) and, though it was hoped they could find something else so that I could stay longer, it didn't work out. Also, the past week or so, right around when my last day happened, my computer had loads of hard drive issues (all hail the mighty Windows 10!!!!) But soon my computer will be fixed and I can get back to that.

However, my true goal is to be an author, preferably a children's author. And with all I've found, I could also write some pretty good thriller political novels based on a lot of factual stuff, just changing a few names here and there to avoid lawsuits.

Yes and no, I spent the last couple years' winter months (Dec-Jan) in the east of India and the temperatures were comfortably in the mid-80's F on average.

That said, I made a unplanned trip last June to attend a wedding anniversary and the weather was like 90-95 F with 80%+ humidity and monsoon-like rain. It was awful, and I spent most of the trip suffering with some kind of cold/flu-like symptoms (along with all the rest of the household who were arguably acclimated to the conditions). Would not recommend visiting in June.

Yep, this would work. It just depends if you prefer more humid climate or drier (desert) conditions. I travelled to Jaipur in Jan one year and was actually surprised how cold it got overnight. I guess you could say the same for Arizona or similar too, though. Conversely, at the same time of year, the East side near Bengal stayed a bit more stable, perhaps because of the relatively higher humidity.

Default Minor but important correction

A big part of the problem is that when the h1-b program got ramped up to bringing in millions of it workers, it resulted in millions of skilled it people loosing their jobs. There was an article in our local paper about the county laying off 16 programmers. The county pay scales for those workers, including benfits, was probably around $80k. Their work was outsourced. A few years later, maybe three years, i saw an invoice the outsourcing firm sent the county. They were charging $125/hour for these newbie programmers! Of course, the programmers were

getting that money, but i think that is a big part of what's going on.

These outsourcing firms are making out like bandits. I remember reading in the paper during the discussion around the US PATRIOT act, passed in the aftermath of 9/11, that the Republicans were holding up the vote because they wanted the Dems to agree to firing 700,000 federal workers, and outsource the work.

You people here can argue all you want about what's best for the country, but it's like arguing about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin - totally irrelevent to the main issue, which is the giant corporations saying, "how can we rip off american workers?"

Speaking of Indian entitlement to come to America, this article highlights some of it.

H-1B visa debate: In modern diplomacy, self-interest rules | Chanakya | opinion | Hindustan Times

"If the Trump administration goes ahead with these plans, it could mean the end of the American Dream for an entire generation of Indian technology workers. It could disrupt the lives of their families, in the US, and back home in India. And it could also affect the business models of large Indian technology outsourcing firms, although many claims that their dependence on H-1B visa holders isn’t as high as it was in the 2000s."

Minus the fact that you have signed a social contract with the fellow citizens of your own country that entitles you to peace and liberty, you are not entitled to much else. That social contract does not entitle you to a good life in a foreign country, even if you're part of the smartest person ever w/ degrees from IIT or JNU.

When one door closes, another one opens. American companies are already making a big push to insource these IT services. I wouldn't be too worried.
