Two weeks. After you give notice your brain will start detaching itself from your job. Even if you wanted to, you won't be giving 100%.
They also know you will be leaving and things change after that, people will treat you differently. Human nature.
If they need your help longer, you can offer that.
Unless you have a contractual (or legal) obligation or have patients (which if you did , I doubt you'd be asking), give two weeks only if it benefits you. If you will be let go the same day and need $$ to make it to start date, do what works for you.
If you financially can make it if they let you go immediately, give two weeks so you can say you tried to give two week.
Tell them you're giving them a month's notice to go work for a competitor. They'll likely pay you for that month and will ask you to not come in any more. Free month's vacation!
Or as it's "at will" can turn around and fire her immediately and walk her out with her possessions in a box.
I wouldn't give a minute more than 2 weeks, which is more than generous given it's a stressful environment and she's been there less than a year.
Just leave when you're ready. My last job I gave four days because it was covenient for me. If you hate it, why stay longer than you want? Your time is too valuable to waste. You don't get a notice when they lay you off...nope, they just dismiss you.
