It would seem that this environment is par for the course in the industry as you've encountered it several times now and always have the same complaints. It's you or it's them. What to do ... what to do.

Is buckling down and sticking it out worse than "Hi, Dad! I'm hoooommme!"?

Back in my day??? How old are you?

You seem to like to control others and get extremely frustrated when they don't act like you think they should. You are the one that needs to adapt to "normal".

My grandson is sensitive to loud noises and wears some sort of noise-reducing headphones. Ask your boss if that's okay.

Good luck.
