Yeah, cookies, candy and company guilt tactics to donate to United Way. I don't mind donating at all...but it's the way they go about it. After the whole company meeting, they take each person, one at a time into their bosses office and work on you that way...well, that's how it was in the early 90's. I give to charities of my choice instead...and when I can afford to.

What gripes my butt is when our boss makes a mistake its "okay", he lost a invoice for 1600.00 and proceded to blame everyone until I reminded him that he was the one that picked it up, then it was okay that he lost it, he was just "busy".

The Contradictory Person. No matter how you answer this person they have a 'no, not really' reply to you and launch into a totally different answer...they NEVER can agree with you!!!

Coworkers giving you an invitation to their kid's wedding.....and you've never even met the kid.

People clipping their nails at their desks, throat clearing tics that happen at least every minute, men who sit next in the cube next to me who don't take showers, women who don't flush the toilet after going to the bathroom (usually after pooping) so I have to find a "clean" stall...

The list goes on... I work at a large tech company and its loaded with creepy geeks every where...

This is the funniest thread I've read in a long time! I currently have two pet peeves here at work.

First - My cubicle is in the back corner by the conference room so people have to walk by me to go in and even though they see me, they still congregate outside my cube to chat and sometimes start walking in as if its empty! The evil eye usually does the trick lol

Second - the loud phone talker who is on the phone at least 6 hrs of each day and also has the cackle laugh and has a tendency to be rude on the phone and throws in an occasional cuss word or two. Nice! And as bad as the work calls are to listen to, the personal ones really annoy me!

how about someone that has every illness or disease and has it worse.....if some one comes in sick and coughinh...she'll be coughing worse in 5 minutes....we recently went through the "Colonoscopy Scare" she had had one....bitched and moaned and screamed because "They gave me Hep C"....she got tested.....she's fine....and bitchin n moanin cause she DOESN'T have it and can't get any money.

People who gossip. I don't join cliques and tell you to move away from my desk.

Bosses who think you should know what's going to happen before it happens.

I work in a pretty laid back environment and I'm the boss now So if I hear someone gossiping I clearly state that I don't like that. I generally eat in my office with my door closed. I want to BE ALONE! I had to resort to closing my door and locking it b/c my employees would still come in and ask me about work related stuff...HELLO I AM EATING..can't this wait???

Also, when I am giving my staff new procedures and there is always some smart a$% questioning everything I am saying...look chickie, just do as you're told...did you forget I can FIRE you??!! Sheesh...ask me in private and don't try to make me look bad in front of everyone...I WOULD NEVER DO THAT TO MY BOSS. Don't these people have manners??
And we have the same problems at my office with bathroom etiquette
