If you are able to handle constant distractions in pharmacy, you should do well in pharmacy.

I have not worked at a pharmacy with a drive thru window yet.

I will disclose I am a pharmacy technician. I will offer you advice as you start your pharmacy career.

First, your initial shifts in pharmacy will involve clerical functions such as register operation and completing specific training of Kroger's pharmacy operations and Health Information Portability and Accountability Act competency.

Second, you will need to register or be certified with your state's board of pharmacy as a registered or state certified pharmacy technician. You must be at least a registered pharmacy technician or a state certified pharmacy technician to participate in the fill process.

Third, familiarize yourself with prescription drugs. You should know the chemical (generic) name, the brand name, what the prescription is used for, and what categories drugs are in.

Fourth, you will need to complete a number of continuing education contact hours to renew your pharmacy technician license/registration. A minimum number of contact hours must be live.
WOW! Thank you so much for your advice. I appreciate it. I sent an application for registration about 4 weeks ago. When I was interviewed by the pharmacy manager, she told me that I have the option to get certified if I wanted to and recommended me to wait a year to get a hang of it and see if I like it. I am really excited to start. I always feel like I accomplish things whenever I help someone, and I do like to help people.

Never eat the candy(drugs). Never take the money. Actually it is not enough that you must be honest but you must also appear to be honest. Always fill your prescription in another pharmacy. HR is not your friend.
