I am highly optimistic about taking a 2nd job soon. A second full time job.. Closer, at a fast food joint. Supposedly they are going to pay $11 an hour (which for fast food is amazing,) I chose this company over the other because they have NOW HIRING CLOSERS UP TO $11/HR signs up everywhere whereas the other place reeks of bad management and "woe is me, save me from here" self-loathing employees, and one place is the kind you want to eat at whereas the other is one you go to once, maybe twice if it is an emergency then you leave and find a new spot.....

So. Since I already work a 1st shift, I am wondering from those that have done it any 1. Tips for success, 2. Tricks on how to keep it going, 3. Things to "not do."

Money-hungry. Hard work will get the job done.

Any tips?

I was a lot younger when I did this and never really thought about it. I was in much better shape too. Working in an office made me super lazy. After I got comfortable in an office job, I couldn't imagine working a second job "for the heck of it." But I was more of a hustler then. I need to get that spirit back.

I don't have any tips because I didn't have any problems with it. As long as the schedules worked together, I was good. Enjoy!

In my field, I have met a lot of people who work two full-time jobs. They are always tired, falling asleep at the computer, etc. I had three jobs for a VERY brief period of time (one full-time, two part-time) and I was pretty cranky.

Depends on your travel time, how much you're up and about but make sure you try to sleep as much as possible. You might not have much of a life for awhile but sleep whenever you can!
