The time off (I work for a school district). I get almost three months off in the summer. Friday is my last day of work before Christmas, and I won't go back until January 3. I'm a cafeteria cook...I work 6:00 to 11:00 two days a week, and 6:00 to 1:30 the rest. Either way, I'm home to enjoy the bulk of the afternoon.

I do work the several banquets throughout the year...often 14 hour days. However, three of the banquets are in November and December, right before the holidays, so the extra money comes in handy!

I don't have to answer telephones, or keep my computer skills "up to date". I don't use a computer at all in my job.

Another great thing is that, before a scheduled school break, we get paid THE LAST DAY WORKED. We're paid the 10th and 25th of the month, so I'll have my pay direct deposited in my account Friday morning.

I've got quite a few small things, but I'd have to partially go with this. I'm expected to do my part, but they won't get on your case if your ass isn't in your chair. If I'd like to to get up and go for a 5 to 15 minute walk.. that's fine. If I'd like to spend 10 minutes browsing C-D, or some non-work related YouTube video... also fine.

My company is incredibly dysfunctional, the good part is management has no idea what's going on and rarely disciplines people for errors. I work in quality control I'm actually expected to send errors on to the customer. One of our delivery drivers had two at fault accidents in a week and never stopped driving.

I have pretty much autonomy to do whatever I want at work. Of course I have to follow certain instructions from my leaders (I have many in my company). I always do my job well, so many of them trust me. I don't attend many of the social events when I don't feel like to, and my co-workers don't ask me why this why that, and they are still nice towards me.

The hours & benefits. Get 36.5 hrs in within 3 days
I sleep 6 hrs of the 18 hr shift (so 1/3 of the shift I am in bed asleep)
I work with mentally ill, developmentally disabled adults who came from mental institutions which are closing so I get to make a difference
I can do my ebay store about 10:30pm-12am when I start falling asleep.
I can shower at work
Temperature controlled, not too hot or cold.
I have time to make sure I am eating right, taking meds, brushing my teeth, etc..
No boss at work, i work independently
