In my corporate days, I was with the leader in their field, and know people in high HR positions in large corporations. Once a person is fired for not being able to do the job, they have a red flag put in the computer, so if they reapply, their application is red flagged and auto rejected.

Question: When a decent job will get 100 and often much more applications, knowing a person has already cost the company a lot of time and money and has proven they could not do the job, why would they hire this person for the same job? They won't.

One big reason.

If you hire this person a second time and they fail again, you will be called in by upper management over this, and who wants a black mark placed in their file, which is exactly what happens. It can effect their own next raise or bonus, and possible promotion.

This answer was given to me when I called a relative who recently retired from head of HR from a major company with thousands of employees. She said it is the old CYA principal (Cover Your A**) She said it is the same as it was back in my corporate life.

If they fired you, they're not going to rehire. You can try your luck but it's not going to work out. I sympathize with your condition because I work with disabilities every day but unfortunately it is what it is.

Call out of work 'sick'

Put the job on the resume. Gaps look bad and employers always question what you were doing during that gap.

I wouldn't even reapply. I'd look for similar employment elsewhere. Maybe the lessons learned at the job you were fired from will help you succeed in your new position.

I have a job interview next week for the same job position I got fired from and the same location. Glad I applied. If I listened to some people here then I wouldn't even had a chance and now I do. They already know I worked there and already spoke to the person who called me about it.

I think it is highly unlikely a company that fired you previously due to poor performance would ever hire you again. You are most likely listed in their HR files as ineligible for rehire. Don't waste your time or theirs.

Good luck. Please let us know how it goes.

I got the job. I just came from the interview. I knew I was going to get it once they told me I had the job interview. Luckily the job interview was before it began to snow. It's the same job where I got fired for performance. I knew I was taking a chance once I applied but glad I didn't listen to the negative comments on this thread saying I wouldn't get the job and I didn't include my past experience with this job on my resume and still got the job. I will begin at the end of next week.
