Well i do use SQL at my job every day now. So it's not unheard of at tech companies...but they obviously want candidates to prove something and that's what i'm not sure of. If they want someone to be great with data they should either believe what people put on resumes and trust them or hire a data analyst.
Havent heard from them and i had the call on wednesday so i'm guessing i didnt make it to the next round. I'm not too sad about that because between interviewing, doing my full time job and taking care of my kids i dont know how the hell i'd get it done.
Customer success manager role seems to be a cross between customer support and account management. It's more proactive (reaching out to make sure customers are happy) than reactive.
It seems to be a job all tech companies are hiring for these days...at least in the boston area which is where i live.
