If you put the time in to ready through them, then it can be useful. It's no secret HR and management post fake reviews to boost the reputation of the company. It's also no secret that people with sour grapes use it to tear down a company's reputation. But if you read through all the fluff, you can usually find a decent amount of useful info that describes the pros/cons of the organization. But at the end of the day, your own experience will be unique to you, so that will be the most useful intel you receive. That's why I don't buy into all the stigma about leaving a job after a short period of time. You don't know if it's going to be a good fit until you've spent some time doing it.

Depends. For smaller companies, I find it to be pretty accurate. For bigger companies, it averages out all locations and departments, and those can vary wildly. Some locations may be great, some may suck. Same with different departments.

Agree. Look for the comments that seem to appear over and over in the various reviews. Those I would believe.
