People only put up with incurring work-related expenses on their personal credit cards because they trust the employer will reimburse in a timely manner, and the points/miles from the CC make it seem worth taking the risk.

Carrying an employer's expenses longer than your credit card grace period pretty much wipes out any points you earn, and puts that much bigger an outstanding amount at risk if your employer goes bankrupt (or just decides to fire you) -- if things go south, you might never get that money back.
