Hi, I am UK based.

After a spell of unemployment I am currently working a temporary job, an agency I've never even heard off saw my CV online, contacted me to see if I was interested, a short telephone interview followed and I was offered the position and I started the following day.

When my temporary contract expires i am thinking of looking at travelling the UK to take temporary jobs, I don't drive but I can easily get train and find a room on sparerooms to stay, I will of course inform the agency that I am willing to travel the country if suitable vacancies come about, obviously the minimum contract length I would be looking for would be atleast 3 months to make it worth while.

I will search and apply for any temp vacancies I can find nationwide and make myself available for a telephone interview rather than face to face, I'll also browse the internet and sign up with a load of agencies and let them know I am willing to re-locate.

Anybody got any other advice they can offer as I dare say quite a few people travel the UK on temporary contracts and it seems a great way to find work, meet new people and visit different parts of the country.

Does anybody know any agencies who specialise in admin positions? as that is what I do

A friend advised me to look on agency central website, in which I will do but any other advice would be great appreciated

In the USA temp agencies don't send admins to other cities or countries and businesses prefer to hire local.

That's the beauty of some agencies. If they have work. You get to see the country, they get to use you till you drop...
