Moral courage to lie, well that's new to me.
But what the heck do I know, I'm still trying to wrap my head around a company that's run so poorly they might not notice an employee taking an extra day off. Who the heck is doing payroll?

I've used sick days for personal reasons. While this firm has vacation/sick/personal as separate classifications, ultimately all falls under "PTO" and I put in a request to use it. No reason expected or provided. In fact, I did that last year for the Christmas holiday. No one thought to ask if I was actually sick.
