I'm with you! I like my employer but I have worked for some real doozies. Being immature is not an honor but sometimes it feels good. My first job in public accounting I hated, the CPA I reported to did not want newbies and did not want to train anyone. I get it but she did not need to target me. Three months in, I went to the partner and had this conversation-

"I am putting in my notice, do you need two weeks because I would prefer to leave now."
"You would?"
"Yes."

Left building. Buh bye. Never looked back.

There are days where I get tired of my job or Im just incredibly bored, but even if I won the lottery, Id come back and at least tell them I won it. I like most of the people I work with and wouldnt want to worry them.

I feel the same way. Would just tell them my wife and I are moving out of state, no mention of winning money though. Easy transition out, maybe a get together before I go. Less is more.
