Do you have a new job lined up?

If so, are they willing to wait weeks and weeks for you to show up?

Forget about the t-shirt, make sure you have an exit plan, then give the two week notice.

Good luck.

It's nice that you are thinking of your fellow co-workers and soon to be former management. But they can and will survive without you and unless there are contractual obligations in writing once you make your intentions clear they can do whatever they want.

You've only been there a year and if you leaving isn't expected I doubt they'll have you train a replacement; like others have said it's possible they just ask you not to come in anymore or have you sit in a corner for 2 weeks.

Simply give the two weeks and just worry about being professional in your current work obligations. The more you make it personal the more it will be treated personal in a negative way. Hope all goes well!

You are far too nice. 2 weeks is 2 weeks. If you give your notice on a Thursday, 2 weeks later is Thursday. That's your last day. What does your boss not being there matter?

Give them two weeks notice on the day you want to. Not three, unless you really want to do that.

I've never worked anywhere that didn't provide coffee. If a company was cheap enough to not give that our for free, that'd be a red flag for me, to be honest.

I agree with others that giving two week notice is good enough. The company will always be okay without anyone. They can find a new one very fast if they want to. And anyone will be okay without the company also.

My company provides five large fridges, four microwaves, two toasters and one kettle in the staff lunch room. Most of the time when any of those was out of order, a new one was replaced as soon. Staff bring their own coffee and tea as they like.
