30 years at one place; which I have not worked at for 12 years. The place I am working for now I have worked for three other times in the past for a total of about 16 years - 2 1/2 for one company, 3 for another company, 10 for another company and a few months for another (all at the same location). It pays to have good recommendations where one can come back to work at anytime (even if the company name has changed).

10 years at my company. They've been good to me as I started as a Business Analyst, then moved into Systems Analyst, Operations Analyst and now Op. Administrator (where I've been for a year).

2 1/2 years It's a great job with great pay and flexibility, but not sure I want to stay in our current location forever. Recently merged with another company (former competitor) and things have changed a bit with the culture and not sure I like it still. Going to give it a chance as they try to figure things out with the integration but also keeping my eyes out just in case the absolutely right opportunity comes along.

I've basically worked for 4 companies in my life- other than a summer at Knott's Berry Farm in 1984 LOL

First one- 9 years/ retail/ went out of business.

Second- 7 years/ Warehousing and distribution/ laid off- well fired but they did it as a lay off- long sordid story

Third- 10 years/ Warehousing/ trucking/ FFE installation/ laid off in 2009 along with everyone else

Fourth and current- 9 years/ Manufacturing and Hospitality/ will be here until they get rid of me or I retire. Love this place (most days) and the people.

Four weeks. But the previous was 7 years. Being an Engineer, most of my jobs under three years.

Just passed 7 years.

Previous job was only about 3 years. One before that, which I really don't count, was 6 months before I left.. Prior to that, 12 years and was laid off.. Before that.. 1 year.. Before that about 6 years.

The short jobs.. One I took just to have something at the time.. The one that was only a year.. I was OK with it, however, the problem was that it was working in medical offices, and.. I was going into pediatrician offices and I'd come out with all kinds of unidentifiable creeping cruds. I left there for my health.. lol
