You know the saying, "Do what you love and the money will follow"? How many of you are doing what you love as a living? If you aren't, why and what was your dream job?

Hello,

I am doing what I always dreamed of doing! The money isn't great, but I'm happy and I do ok, so it doesn't matter! I don't even feel like it's work, because I enjoy it!

My dream job is- business owner. If all goes well, this time next year I'll be creating a thread that says- "I finally bought my own business".

Thanks for asking

P,

when It comes to buying a business, it's best to leave your options open. I have no specific kind of business but I do have certain requirements that I want the business to have. It could be a electrical supply company or it could be a business that manufacturers shoe laces.........As long as it meets my investment requirements I am open to it.

Most business buyers fall in love with the profit and potential of the business not the product of service. That's the way Warren Buffett does it.....If the busines is doing well, most likely it's selling a good product or service.

My way of doing things is not written in stone. Everyone has their own requirements. I created mine based on the annual shareholder letters Warren Buffett writes. I used his approach when it comes to looking at good businesses to buy. I have a list of 7 requirements, 5 are must haves and the other 2 are optional.

It would be so nice if you would all include the job that you are presently doing, especially if it is your dream job.

I had always wanted to drive a truck when I retired from the military. Did LOTS of research before I went to a truck driving school. STILL, I found the industry very different from what I expected. Do I have any regrets? Absolutely not! I love going to work every day. I'm currently on a dedicated retail account and, while it's not the perfect job, there's a LOT I like about it. I'm frustrated that it takes me 55-60+ hours a week to earn what I should be earnig in 40, but every job is that way anymore...
