I work from home as an independant retail/restaurant contract recruiter. However, I know a few people who work from home for "Arise", and this company is definetly VALID! I don't remember the other names of their competitors, but check them out.

You can find "work from home" link on almost business site, even on the sites that tell you to watch out for them.

Most of the are scams, they just want you to by a CD package from them. After that your on your own. The CD tell you that you have to buy something else and on, and on, and on.

If you have to buy something to get a job, it's a Scam.

I work from home with my own legitimate business. There are legitimate work-at-home businesses available, however, you need to do your research in to what they are offering because unfortunately, there are too many scams out there. The question is, are you looking for a job with a salary that you can work from home, or are you looking to be an independent business ownerand be your own boss? That is an important question to answer so you know where you want to look. If you are looking to work from home for a salary, then a good place to start is a search on the Good Morning America, (GMA) website. Once on the site search for 'work at home' or Tory Johnson, who put the information together. They have links to companies that are hiring individuals to work from their home. If you are looking to be an independent business owner/your own boss, then your research would be different.
