Hi, I am planning on moving to Eagle Pass this summer and I was just wondering how hard would it be to get a job there? I do have a bachelor's in history. I know it is a small town, but I went there once and I really liked it. Any help would be kindly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Edward237828! I lived up the road a bit in Del Rio and really enjoyed it. But I had a job in the USAF. You'll find life along the border easy-going. Wages tend to be pretty low, however. And being fluent in Spanish is almost mandatory. My opinion is that opening your own business might be the best way to make more than low wages. (But comes with its' own set of problems...) If you have the certification, teaching might be an option. But teacher wages in TX aren't that good. Is there reason that you're moving to Eagle Pass? maybe a little more info would help us...
Also, you might get a better response asking questions about border areas on the Texas forum.
