Some 78 percent of American workers say they feel burned out, according to a study conducted by Rochester, N.Y. pollster Harris Interactive on behalf of CareerBuilder.com, the jobs Web site.

Surprise, surprise... With the generous vacations here you'd be burned out even if you do nothing on your job.

of course most people work from age 16-65, (some longer) 5 days a week, I can see why most are burned out. Almost there whole life is spent working it away then when retirement comes most are too old and brittle or are developing health problems, so the next phase of life is spent trying to stay out of the doctors.

To bad the normal routine isnt 2 days on 5 days off but with the same pay.

Most of the people I see don't look too burned out from their jobs. They seem to have a lot of energy to go off and spend that money.
