Here's the scoop on the start up kits. By buying the kit, you're actually becoming part of a prymaid marketing scheme (also known as multilevel). What your actually buying is access to a network.

The prymaid marketing schemes work great for those that get in on the top and eventually the pryamid collaspes and people lose a bunch of people. So it's a way of transferring wealth from your pocket to the pocket of the people who started the scheme.

I don't do them for obvious reasons. It is sort of like playing the lottery but a little different concept.

In the future, remember that companies pay you money to work at home, not the other way around!

Yes, I totally agree. When I was looking for work on a Dept of Labor website for work in my area, this was even a opition for work. Yet, you have to have the money to invest in their company before you get any. You have to already have a job inorder to get one at home. Don't let these companies scam you. The only thing is I feel that in the future a lot of jobs will be from home due to the internet.

If you go to wahm.com or workplacelikehome.com, you can find tons of places to look into. Some are unresearched and might be scams, but I've found several work at home gigs that are legitimate on those sites. I worked for West at home for a while (answering phones). Other phone jobs that are legitimate and don't have any startup costs (other than possibly a background check fee, though many places don't make you pay for this yourself!) include liveops, cloud10, and teletech. 1-800-Flowers hires people from home during certain seasons. Some airline companies do the same, depending on where you live. If you google "rat race rebellion," there is a large list of call center type jobs you can do at home.

Good luck!

Get a job that allows for telecommuting.
Get a job answering phones that allows for work at home.
Get a job in transcription that allows for work at home.
Start your own business and you can work at home all day.

That's how you avoid scams. Or you could just buy into one of those MLM kits and wonder why a year later you have less money than when you started.

There you have it. There are no short cuts. Working at home is just like any other job or venture search- do the research, put in the work, and you'll reach your goal.
