Hello,

I am planning on applying for a job at Kohls Department Store part time evenings but I am not sure what is a fair hourly wage for employment at their company. Also any suggestions/information regarding the application process? Thanks.

You start at 6.55 an hour than after your probationary period you receive a raise. Than every four months you get a raise. Great place to work. Plus you get christmas bonsuses.

Doesn't that depend on where you live. In WA state for example the minimum wage is over $8.00 an hour so you wont start at anything less then that.

Default know it's an old post but....

In each state Kohls pays slightly higher than the minimum for starting floor associates. After a 90 day review you usually go up .25 an hour. Christmas bonus?? Ya, no.

as of 2009 ca kohls associates start at $8.25 no raise anymore after 90 days but after 1 year and lots of credit applications you can get 1%-4% raise. No bonus unless you are management but there is a 15% discount

Default Salary info

This thread was originally started nearly a year ago. But I see there was a new post on it yesterday, so for anyone still interested:

Glassdoor.com is a website that has company salaries, reviews, and interview questions for 30,000 companies -- all posted anonymously by those companies' employees (and former employees). You'll find current data there on Kohl's in your region.

My son had applied with Kohl's, they start about $.10 above minimum wage. They do give a nice discount, so if you're considering it as a second job, it's probably a decent deal.
