To think we wonder why this country is having so much difficulties. Shouldn't the private sector be regulating these types of things, instead of government red tape?

Low taxes, low regulation (except for banking), and free market is what creates economic growth, jobs and better products that can compete on a global scale.

title may be somewhat misleading, but this new law will definitely affect jobs and could not have come at a worse time. imo, this law should have never passed, just more red tape.

Not sure how it affects ebay sellers but there is a current update on the gov website and it won't affect consignment sales and stores.

Edited to add: this is a kind of a damned if you do damned if you don't situation for the government. They were getting all kinds of flack because they weren't doing much if anything about lead in childrens stuff. Now that they are requiring companies to certify that their products have been tested they are also getting flack for that. What exactly are they supposed to do?
