Same here, but my unemployment is running out, and no good opportunity has come around yet, and never will for that matter. Happily to say I sill live with my parents, and sorry to say will continue to do so for a long time because I am trapped in a city that does not pay well at all, and saving to move to a new city will take several YEARS to accomplish.

As ihatetucson said, unemployment doesn't last for ever. I'd venture to guess he maybe lives in Tucson?

Any honest work is honorable and decent. Collecting unemployment is also honorable if necessary. An honest buck is an honest buck.
I do hope the agency the OP mentioned isn't a scam. Such scammers should burn in hell with Bernie Madoff.

I was just contacted by my Staffing specialist from Careerlink, she told me the Employer will be contacting between Tuesday and Thursday for a Interview. The contact person for the employer she sent my resume to is her girlfriend. See why I feel this is a better way for me to get a job?

Heh, Career Link is a govt. related job center. We have several here in Philadelphia.

They have nothing to do with scams. You dont' pay them. I don't believe staffing agencies should be paid by job hunters. Although, I have heard of people who lose their jobs mid-career and don't have recent interview skills, will pay for someone to find them a job. Personally, it refutes logic, to pay someone to find me a job, when I am unemployed.

Even though our friend here says that career link employee is a friend or a new friend, I personally wouldn't trust this situation, since she is a quasi-govt employee and keeps a paper trail of communications. And if he doesn't like this job after two days, you will lose your unemployment compensation, if you quit or they legitamately fire you. Once you take that job, you are stuck with it. That was my point earlier, although he staffng t.v. guy appeared to overlook it. So, make sure you won't hate it, which means talk to current employee, meet your supervisor, etc... Because, if there are any problems with the new job, it will take a month to get your U.C. benefits back, with no food in the frig.

That's why i feel it's so important for me and my staffing specialist to be on the same page. I don' have any plans on interviewing for a job I know I have no experience in or accepting just any job that comes along. So when I see her on Tuesday, I will explain my do's and don't's like "DON"T SEND MY ANT OF MY RESUMES TO NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA"

LOL, it's too far from where I live
