I have been getting paid on a weekly basis for more than five years. In my opinion i think it's easier to manage bills and money when paid on a weekly basis. I would like to here your thoughts, comments and suggestions, as i'm new to the Dallas,Tx area and would like to find a job that pays on a weekly basis.

Well, in my experience, temporary jobs pay weekly...waitress/bartender jobs pay daily..so, getting paid right away is good....however, most jobs pay biweekly or bimonthly or sometimes monthly. If I remember correctly, many european jobs pay monthly.

The monthly jobs allowed me to take a draw after two weeks...since for an american getting paid monthly is pretty damned impossible to live with..;-)

It really depends on how much you make....if you make 1000 a week, and your rent is 800, your food is 150 to 200 and cell is 80 and elec/gas is 150, then getting paid once every two weeks is fine...since I still have about 800 left after paying all my expenses.

So, it really depends on how much you make and how much your rent/mortgage is...;-)

but if you make 350 a week, and rent is 550, then I would run out of money right away...and be broke for a week or have to borrow money from a payday loan place...how often this happens depends on whether you can save, whether you have a roommate or a partner to share expenses...;-)

You need to be more flexible. From
Personal experience, whether I am paid bi-monthly or monthly- you learn to plan and make the necessary adjustments.

Default Ok

I'm very thrifty and can save either way, but i just would prefer a weekly paycheck. I just think bi-weekly is a long time to wait to be paid again. I have a pretty nice bank account and it's just me no extra mouths to feed.

I am paid monthly, and it just takes a little more planning. I have a spreadsheet where I track all my expenses, and update it 3-4 times a week.

I prefer a paycheck every week as well even though I am good with money. Good luck in your search and let us know how you like Texas.

i rather get paid every week. it is a lot easier to handle the bills that way. I only had one job where I got paid weekly. but you gotta learn to adjust. getting paid bimonthly isn't so bad unless your bills amounts to your paycheck. that is where the struggle comes in.

I would prefer weekly but most companies do not do this any more. My husband is paid bimonthly and it can be horrible when all the bills are due in the beginning of the month and the pay check comes in on the 8th...

The last few jobs I have held were bi-monthly (paid every other week).

I never thought I would care but as soon as I started getting paid weekly I can never go back. I don't know why but I just love getting paid every Friday.
