Default volunteering
I wasn't sure where to post this but does anyone have suggestion on volunteering (or heck ideas on where to volunteer that would be fun and rewarding).
I wish I was more of a pet person so I could go play with pets at a shelter but I'm allergic to cats and I fond only a few breeds of dogs.

WELL, JUST THE ONE STATE OF OREGON, YOU HAVE ALL OF THESE!! BASICALLY YOU CAN VOLUNTEER ANYWHERE, EXCEPT CORPORATE. BUT EVEN THERE YOU CAN DO INTERNSHIPS, BUT THEY ARE COMPETITIVE!!

HERE IS A LIST IN OREGON!! AND EVERY CITY HAS ADVOCATE VOLUNTEER POSITIONS AND THE SMALLER CITYS HAVE EVEN MORE OPPORTUNITIES. FOR EXAMPLE I VOLUNTEERED AT THE CITY OF PORTLAND OMBUDSMAN'S DEPARTMENT AND I.T. DEPARTMENT, ETC... (IT HELPS IF YOU ARE CONNECTED WITH A SCHOOL, BUT MOST OF MY VOLUNTEER/INTERN OPPORTUNITIES CAME FROM ME JUST CALLING!) ANY NON-PROFIT/GOVT, ORG/ENTITY WILL HAVE OPPORTUNITIES. (Some do require a background check)

City, County and State jobs
Educational Institution jobs
NonProfit Jobs on the Internet
Newspapers and Websites
Other nonprofit job links
