Default Toastmasters or something better

Wondering if there is public speaking group to help you get over nervousness and to perfect presentation skills. Is toastmasters the best group for this or are there others?

I did toastmasters in portland oregon and went a few times in in Philadelphia. There is never enough time in the day when you are working, so i didn't keep up iwth it. i am planning to restart my attendance with them shortly!!

I think it is helpful, even though sometimes only a few people show up. You have to give criiticism very kindly.
But people do get to practice in front of other people, so that is good!

My husband became much better at public speaking and gained a lot of confidence in "working the room" when he was a member of Toastmasters.

I'm a member of Toastmasters. Public speaking, talking and being less nervous has improved a lot!
Just getting in the routine of making presentations helps. You just get use to it.
