Hi,
Just curious if anyone knows about this: I am going thro open enrollment at work and I cannot sign up for the company-paid life insurance because the online system requires I enter SSNs for my beneficiaries. As I was not born and raised in the US none of my beneficiaries have SSNs and the system won't accept anything else. Does anyone know if the company is required by law to make it possible for me to enter non-US citizens? I don't have any family over here.

Oh right, cause that never occurred to me.

Never mind. I'll figure it out on my own.

Benefits are not mandated by law, they are something the company chooses to offer.
