I picked being an Architect, as although it might be cheaper pay, it's something that I'd probably enjoy doing far more, and a job that one can truly take a lot of pride in, considering the fact that work is a place that most spend the majority of their lives at the extra $50,000 does not seem worth having a boring job, at. (No offence, to anyone whom works in a toll booth.)
I'd work the toll booth job until I paid off the majority of my debt and then dive into the architectural field.
Essentially what I'm doing though I don't make that much! Life's too short! I'm paying off everything and then going to learn to live on less and be fulfilled!
An architect has the chance of career expansion and progression. An architect could open his/her own firm or be a partner, etc.
Toll booth operator is a low skilled job and you could hope for one day becoming a supervisor or manager of toll booths (possibly) maybe running several. However, I do think you will see the day when there will be less manned toll booths and more toll transponders, bills to the license plate, etc. I.e. that job would be obsolete.
I would take architect. I could actually enjoy that job. As long as it is a livible wage (which $50k is) the money doesn't matter. I want work to be enjoyable, not just a paycheck.

I agree. More and more toll booths are getting automated. If you drive them everyday you most likely don't even have to stop anymore.
I would pick architecture for the future growth potential, stability etc.
Unless U need a big house, I would go to the architect but it's whatever makes u feel good doing. Maybe the tollbooth is a good job. U don't mean collecting toll do u? That would suck and be so boring. The world is unpredictable, architect sounds more skillful which is good ot have.
100k a year? I could send my daughters to a real nice college and listen to the radio all day
lol
