This is not anti-hispanic post, but a pro-English post.
The last time I went to In-Out burger, I ordered a number one, I requested ketchup, onions, cheese. The person taking my order did not speak enough English to understand my order. She kept repeating back to me, "number one", yes, with...., I got my burger, completely wrong. I think it is frustrating to go to fast food places and not be able to order food in English.
My Mom had the same problem, she wanted a chocolate shake at McDonalds, and the guy, just did not understand what she wanted.
The best thing to do is let them give it to you wrong and keep taking it back until they get it right.. Maybe they may just learn to hire English speaking Americans.

Do you honestly think these people even understand the concept of throwing away an error that is returned to them by a customer?
It depends on the area. If you're in an area with a lot of migrant workers, like California, you're probably not going to get a job at McDonalds. If you're in the Midwest like me it's easy.
In Massachusetts it seems every location I walk into is fully staffed by immigrants. This seems to be one of the reasons they never call me back because the applications asks what race you are.
McDonalds will pretty much hire anybody where i live. they hired me.
Job offered on the spot and this was in the middle of summer.
How old are you?
