Resume question (companies, business, how to, places)

I am trying to get some more concrete things on my resume. I worked as an operations manager for a hotel before my son was born and we were recognized a few times but I can't remember exactly what it was called. We were also recognized in sales always meeting or exceeding our quota.

We were recognized first quarter 2002 when the hotel business well the whole travel and tourism business was horrible as one of a few hotels in the country that exceeded quota. We always met our quotas as well except for maybe 1 or 2 quarters. How would you word that accomplishment?

How would you word that we always did great on our inspections?

Do companies check these things? How do I prove it? My general manager was probably recognized but I wasn't in particular although I would get bonuses.

Since I don't know your industry I don't have anything to offer in how to describe accomplishments. But, there are places on the web that have resume examples that are industry specific. I bet you could find something. Trying googling your industry + resume examples.
