DavieJ89 - you have skills - you write well on the computer, you can surf the web, an extrovert - I think you don't give yourself any credit. Can you see yourself doing anything different in the store you are at? Perhaps, you could ask to be cross-trained in another section of the store to 1) get more training, 2) be less bored, and 3) test out if you want to move into a manager role. The more you know and learn about a business, the more skills you accumulate!

I like Time's suggestion.
As for the warnings and all that, just suck it up and get back to work. Chances are, you dealt with someone that was having a bad day and overreacted. There are some people in this world that will find fault with anything. Considering it was your second complaint, that usually puts up red flags for managers.
At my Publix in SC, the cashiers and baggers are always bantering. I think its nice. Some of them have pulled silly little jokes (strangely enough, about my Stop&Shop reusable bags). Its all in good fun. The workers at Publix always seem so happy. I wouldn't be the one to ruin their fun if they said something a little amiss (and they haven't yet). I worked as a shipping clerk/cashier when I was a teenager. So I've been there and can empathize.

Thank you I appreciate that. I now I don't give myself any credit, I've always had a very negative attitude about myself, its a lot better then it used to be but it still exists.
I am bored with my job, you hit the nail on the head. My manager will not cross train me into any other position, I know, I've asked numerous times. He actually didnt want to promote me at all when I was a bagger, but after a year of begging and pleading (not literally of course) and busting my butt eventually he very reluctantly made me a cashier, and I proved my coworkers wrong who all thought I was going to screw up and lose money. I'm actually very good at what I do
I want to move into a management role but the managers all put themselves on such high pedestals I feel like I'll never be good enough to be in managment, I feel like the standards are too high. I dont want to be a manager with Publix now. I want to do something else but I dont know what
