Default Question for owners/managers of smaller owned companies...

Off the wall question here and bear with me, it is wordy...

If a hardworking and reliable employee of yours of the past 10 years came to you and said they were trying to relocate out of state with their family (to a state that had a company that yours did business with and you possibly had connections to help them get a job at said company, making relocating easier) would you:

A) Happily do what you could to help them, after all they gave you 10 good years;

B) Feel put off because you would be losing an employee and tell them to go take a hike; or

C) Something in between?

Thanks for any and all insight!
