Default Physician's Assistant

Anyone on here ever think about becoming a PA or know anyone who works as a PA?

How difficult is it to get into a PA school provided you meet the requirements? Do you have to take the MCAT or a similar test to get into PA school?

How expensive is PA school? Would it cost over 100K to go to school for the typical 2 yr PA program?

From what I have gathered, if you meet the premedical requirements of math and science, you don't have to take the MCAT. As in any other field, some programs are very competitive, some less so. From what I have seen, a good state university might set you aside 20-30K for the two years, more for a private school but not 100K. I have considered this road in the past, still might do it.

My daughter went to PA school in the army. She's had a great career there. She can retire from the army at 45 and have a second career as a PA on the "outside". PA's are in great demand and the need will only continue to grow.
