Hi Guys I have a hard time to choose between going for a MBA (in Information Technology or Supply Chain etc) or become a math teacher in high school.

Is there anybody who tried at least one of these to tell me how the job market is for both in the US?!

I was thinking even if I go for Master's in Teacher's certificate program (mathematics for high schools) I might want to apply for a PhD later in Education as a second choice. MBA looks very insecure. Already I have a master's degrees in Business from West of Europe (I’m a permanent resident here in the US) but haven't got any related job here after two years. I feel in MBA you always deal with private companies and you might get laid off at any time with no benefits. Also Teachers receive a huge cut these days as states cut down on their budget but still I feel it is easer to get a job as a teacher in math than a job that demands MBA degree. I appropriate your comments.

Offhand I would expect you to make more money with the MBA. If you have sharp computer skills and an MBA you might get hired as an IT guy with potential to advance into management.

Teaching high school would pay much less, but if you are content with a small salary and willing to put up with the political BS, it's a reliable job for most who do it.

That depends on what state you're teaching in.
My opinion is do NOT go into teaching. It's very difficult to get a position these days and the pay stinks.
