I sincerely want to thank those who took the time to critique my resume, those who gave me advice on proper interview attire, and to everyone who posts on this forum offering moral support, updates on unemployment news and constructive job search suggestions. Because I worked for the same corporation for over twenty years and am 60ish, it was a difficult adjustment when I found myself unemployed last year. This forum has been extremely helpful.

As of today, I am no longer unemployed! Yes, I had to take a quite a large salary cut and I will no longer have a corner office with a window nor any of the other perks I enjoyed in my last position, but I will be doing the type of work that I love, just at a different level.

To those who are still looking and praying for a job, I sincerely hope your job offer comes tomorrow.

Susan, congratulations on the fantastic news!

It would be great if when you have some time you could provide some "tips" and insights about how you skillfully handled the "tricky" questions that come up in interviews whilst unemployed -- gap in your CV, taking a salary cut, etc. -- if they even came up at all. I've seen a lot of questions here about how these can be stumbling blocks for unemployed folks in job interviews.
