As the population of the world approaches 7 billion people , I was thinking what the city populations will be then . Please include US and World Cities of the top ten. Also include when you think world population will reach 7 billion . World population now is around 6.9 billion people. As you know, population of the world will likely reach point this year. What month? What day?

Population of world will reach 7,000,000,000 by around November 19, 2011. The city populations of the world will be courtesy of City Mayors.

World City Populations in the Top 10 then:
1. Karachi, Pakistan 15,712,019
2. Shanghai, China 13,006,626
3. Mumbai, India 13,915,688
4. Beijing, China 12,487,819
5. Delhi, India 12,186,011
6. Buenos Aires, Argentina 11,687,713
7. Manila, Phillippines 11,613,009
8. Seoul, South Korea 11,518,556
9. Sao Paolo, Brazil 11,133,819
10. Moscow, Russia 10,556,800

US City Populations in the Top 10 then:
1. New York City, New York 8,466,109
2. Los Angeles, California 3,993,782
3. Chicago, Illnois 2,871,226
4. Houston, Texas 2,418,077
5. Phoenix, Arizona 1,644,518
6. Philadelphia, Pennslvania 1,561,729
7. San Antonio, Texas 1,423,329
8. San Diego, California 1,417,017
9. Dallas, Texas, 1,377,916
10. San Jose, California 1,088,374

Besides, it does seems freaky. According to National Geographic, if you invited everyone in the world to a party, 7 billion people could fit in a city that's almost the size of Los Angeles. Well, that's kind of small.
