India.

They worship cows and let them roam the streets in many places. And they let rhesus monkeys, and other animals, roam free too. Abundance of animals + lack of desire to kill them = huge need for vets.

And they have amazing curries for vegetarians.

Do you want to be small-animal, large-animal, or both? I ask because, from what I recall of my uncle, some vets do specialize one way or the other. If you're large animal I think a nation with lots of livestock might be the thing.

For large animal New Zealand looks like it might be good as they have a high number of both sheep and cows per-person.

Cows outnumber people in New Zealand - Telegraph

For small animals (cats, dogs, etc) the things I'm finding indicate it might well be the US. Americans spend a good deal on their pets. By one estimate the average American dog or cat has more per-capita consumption, dollars spent on their upkeep, than the average Pakistani.

I guess I should've been more specific-a vet for Vivarium Pets(birds, reptiles, amphibians, etc. ). I thought Australia would have the most opportunity for that sort of vet( alot of Vivarium pets are from Aussie)

You want to go where people have pets, and want to spend money on their pets. Otherwise there will be no job opportunities for a veterinarian. Unless of course you want to be a volunteer vet, contributing to the greater good of the animal world.

USA, Western Europe, Canada, and Australia will be your options.

A little more specific-if in the USA, where? I know this is the world section, but I don't think I should make a new thread just to narrow the choice.
