Interesting post.
In your opinion, 2 languages sound the ugliest, and 2 the most beautiful, yet they all belong to the same linguistic group (Romance languages).
This is not intending to sound like any criticism on my part, I just find it interesting.
Yes, but phonetically speaking they are different;French and Italian for example, no matter how much they have in common grammar-wise.
There are a lot of beautiful European and Asian languages.
However, there are also some ugly European and Asian languages that exist too at the same time.

nice listen to even if you don't understand a word.
I like French, Portuguese, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, and English with
Aussie Accent.
Don't like German, Cantonese Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, and Arabic.
I agree with you that French and Mandarin Chinese are some of the most beautiful languages.
Also, I agree that German, Vietnamese, Korean, and Arabic are some of ugliest sounding languages.
It is interesting how Mandarin Chinese is one of the most beautiful languages while Vietnamese and Korean seem like some of the least beautiful languages because in some ways these languages are in a similar language family but expressed so differently from each other!
One I haven't seen mentioned is Swahili. Its a beautiful, musical language spoken in Kenya and Tanzania. This is partly in English but there's enough Swahili to give you an idea of what it sounds like (in a song at least):
