When people think of Arabs, what nationality is the first that comes to mind? (racism, Lebanese)

People may think of an actual Arab country but when you ask them of a picture of a Muslim person, many point out Indians (Punjabis)

I think that's only the case in the UK. When I think of an Arab, a young male from North Africa comes to mind.

Pakistani;s and Indian look quite similar if you analyze it. There are one billion ppl in india. Trust me you haven;t seen much. Up till the Brits arrived, Iranian rulers would invade India and and quickly ransack an area steal their treasure and women. Numerou campaigns like this resulted in mass exodus of young women to Iran where they enslaved and sold as property, even harems. Pakistan is made of Muslims who were settled in India. many times, they forcibly took Hindu women and converted them. So what you get thru the course of history, are light and pretty women being torn apart from ther families. To sum it up, this area including North India is one big melting pot. The few who had the resources o escape did so to South and Northeast India.

I believe that a large number of Pakistanis are of Punjabi or Sindhi origin.

I think of Palestinians and then those from Saudi Arabia. Of course there are many more countries. Its strange to confuse Indians. Although some of them are Muslims, most are not and their religion is not even close (Hindu). Also a lot of people see Sihks with their turbans and think they are Arabs at least where I live.
