In quick thinking it would be Saudi Arabia, Iran and Iraq. In longer thinking it would also include Oman, Yemen, Egypt, Syria. Morocco might come to mind but because of it's unique location it may slide by me.
Definitely Saudi Arabia, and also the other countries on the Peninsula. Arab north Africa, Lebanon etc aren't really truly Arab so much as they are different ethnic groups that adopted Islam and the Arabic language.
Most people view Pakistan and Afghanistan as Arab muslim equally as much as Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
.
Most people, as usual, are wrong, because the media has failed to raise them out of their ignorance, which is largely the fault of the media in the first place. There is no real difference between Pakistanis and Indians, except their religion and the alphabet they use to write the same spoken language. They are completely dissimilar to Arabs, as much as Black Muslims in US prisons are dissimilar to Arabs.
The languages of Pakistan and Afghanistan are written in the Arabic alphabet, and the people are Muslim. But that does not make the people similar, any more so than Icelandic and Philipino and Nigerian and Peruvian people are similar because they write their language with the same alphabet and practice Christianity.
It is inexcusable for Americans to be graduating from high school with such a profound depth of ignorance about the outside world.
Was there not a lot of Iranian mixing with the Pakistanis? Because the Pakistanis and Indians look very different.
