Exclamation Moving out of the US--- NEED HELP!

I am having some serious personal family issues, which are unfixable. A few days ago I was thinking about it and was inspired to move to a new country. Somewhere preferably in Europe, or perhaps a non-commercial island. In a democratic country of course. I am young and would be moving with my boyfriend, neither of us have careers or money. I know it makes it hard obviously, and this sounds impossible, but I am willing to start out in a shack on the beach as long as I have food, my boyfriend, and nature with me, and then work my way up. Considering that I did not grow up in the United States, I never liked it here. I've been trying to escape ever since I was little. I know this sounds like a fantasy but I am willing to put as much research and effort into this as I can, because we are both looking for a fresh new start and adventure (even if it will come with difficulties) in life. We are a people's person, looking to open a future business together, happiness, peace, and love seeking people. Looking for meaning beyond the everyday life of making money and working. In other words, we are willing to experience new cultures, learn a new language, and develop a new lifestyle. We are looking for a drastic life change, something completely new, as long as we are with each other. We are looking to move within 2 months to a year from now.

These are things we are looking for:

-living in a place with moderately hot/comfortable weather (could be an all seasons place, but no harsh winters)

-living in a country that has VERY warm, friendly, communal, welcoming people. people who like closeness instead of privacy

-living in or close to a city (for job opportunities, to be around lots of people, and for transportation)

-an hour or less away from the beach is preferable, however the mountains are acceptable too. we just don't wanna be living in the middle of nowhere.

-we want to move as LEGAL immigrants, no matter where we go

-we are willing to join tribal life

-we are both focused on living around nature as we believe it will bring serenity into our lives

-we are not to rely on family members back home, this is an experience for a commitment to each other, for a new life

-a country preferably that is welcoming to immigrants, and is an easier place to start a new life

-could be an island as I mentioned above

-we are willing to live in tiny, cozy, cottage-like lifestyle, in a village

-a place with opportunities for education hence affordable college education and career building

-a place with job opportunities of any kind

-a place of serenity and low-crime

-a place of religious freedom and acceptance

-democratic that is, or mostly democratic

-we love the city life

-somewhere we could work our way up with money (or live happily ever after)

-a place that isn't necessarily overwhelmed by materialism and technology; as long as it is comfortable in terms of food, comfy home, self-care and hygiene, we will be fine. we are not looking to become Omish; TV's and internet would be nice, like I said before, not a rural place.

-no more than an hour away from a major city.... a city thriving with cafes, restaurants, pedestrians, nightlife, parks... a city where there's lots to do (unless living on a deserted island)

You two have nothing to offer a host country. The world is overflowing with young people with no skills, countries struggle to keep them OUT.

I cannot imagine that you would stand the remotest chance of getting a residency permit in a country with all the features you are looking for.

Mydeepestblue, you say you did not grow up in the US - do you have citizenship of some other country ? If so, that may be your best bet. If not you/your boyfriend need to acquire either skills or money. As kevxu suggested, you won't get far with neither, certainly not to Europe.

You're living in a teenage dream world. You think any country in Europe is going to let two unskilled, penniless teenagers arrive at their door and welcome them with open arms...like you're the answer to their prayers?

Oh, not too much then ....nothing a magic fairy godmother couldn't fix.

Let me tell you girl. The place you are looking for is called 'Paradise' and I'm sorry to have to tell you but it doesn't exist. If it did we'd all bloody be there.

Take my tip. Listen to what your parents are telling you and dump the bum that you are dating(that's what most "serious personal family issues" with teenage girls are about.)Put silly teenage ideas about living in a paradise out of your head, get stuck into your school work and concentrate on a career.

Tribal life with affordable college education and career building ?

You are pretty much screwed without being a passport holder of another country already.

Either way you are young and have some idealistic view of the world that you can break free and do what you described, its not possible by what I have read about you in other posts.

Why dont you just move to elsewhere in the US ? Hell going from State to State or region to region can be a culture shock in itself in this country.

Sorry to say this to you deepestblue, but judging by your query, you are not going down the correct path.

It's just a teenage dream. We all had them when we were her age. In my day it was running off to live and work in a Kibbutz in Israel or bumming around Europe picking grapes. Most people that tried those things only lasted a few weeks before coming home crying to Mum.

So let me get this right!

You want to have a quiet 'tribal' life where you can focus on living around nature in order to bring serenity into your lives but there must be lots of people, job opportunities, transportation. It must be no more than an hour from the beach, have opportunities for education, affordable college education, career building and a low crime rate, thriving with cafes, restaurants, pedestrians, nightlife, parks, lots to do.. but not overwhelmed by materialism and technology.

You appear to be looking for a Buddhist retreat in the middle of New York!!
You don't need advice girl....you need a bloody Genie.

Actually, it's funny you say that, I will be very welcomed at a kibbutz since it is my home country. It would be very possible for me to do that.

And everyone, of course, I am not looking for a place that has ALL those qualities combined; I know it does not exist. I was just hoping someone could advise us a place that has SOME of these qualities we are looking for, because I have not traveled much around the world, and I do not know about many places. On a side note, neither of us are teenage runaways as you may think, we are well above that age. We are specifically trying to move out of the US for a purpose of finding a new life. If we were interested in just running away from our families, we could just wonder off to another US state. Yet that is not what we are looking for.

Oh, also, I didn't mention before but my boyfriend has distant, rich, family in Sicily. I'm not sure how European laws work, but do you think this would family could make any difference?

lolol...my dream as a teen was to move to the US and go to school over there. Seventeen magazine really made the American lifestyle seem so glamorous.
