It is so great to see so many different cities in the world lately trying to expand high-rise architecture projects!

The cities that surprised me the most being on the list:

-Manila, Philippines

-Istanbul, Turkey

Also the most surprising things about the list in general:

-So many Chinese cities made the list. I knew at least 3 Chinese cities would make the list but not that many! (It seems like up to 20 different Chinese cities made the list!)

-I thought the USA would have some more cities on the list. Looks like only one USA city made the list. The USA really should have some more cities making this list.

Overall, though I am not surprised by most aspects of this list.

Yay for London. Its skyline is going to look so different in a few years time.

And this is only a small portion of the London skyline!

I'm surprised they're not all Chinese cities the way they're building over here. Beijing wasn't on any lists, unless I overlooked it. I was surprised by that.

Yeah. Even though so many Chinese cities made the list (probably the most cities for any single country), Beijing was not one of them.

Beijing is the political capital of China and one of the most highly populated cities in the world so that is very surprising it would not make the list.

It reminds me of the USA where Washington DC is the political capital of the USA yet it is also very deprived of high-rise architecture/skyscrapers. But Washington DC has only 600,000 people while Beijing has 19 million people so it makes it much more surprising for Beijing to not make the list compared to Washington DC.

Not surprised at all to see Panama up there. Actually, I clicked the link looking for Panama.

In the 2 years I lived there, the skyline changed INCREDIBLY.Between Trump Tower, the new Revolution Tower, and countless number of condo buildings, the skyline grows literally on a daily basis. Amazing.

Manila, Philippines on top of the list? That's a big surprise! Good for them.

Didn't expect to see Manila. I mean, I knew they had a pretty good skyline already...

You really get an understanding of just how depressed the real estate market is in the US when you see that New York is the only city to make the list and is still way down the list from nearby Toronto.
