I and my friends (all guys between 27-30) are planning a guys trip. We are trying to decide between a 5-day carnival trip in Rio de Janeiro and a 10-day Spain (Madrid-Barcelona-Ibiza) trip in late March. The lengths of times cannot be changed but I wanted to hear other's opinions.
Rio-Pros
Women! Women! Everywhere!
Event only happens once a year
Cheaper upon arrival
Rio-Cons
Expensive flights
Anything else to do but party during Carnival?
Not as much time (due to expensive Carnival prices)
Spain-Pros
Three cities are better than one
Cheaper flight there
Historic places to visit
Futbol!
Spain-Cons Euro is worth more than the dollar
May not be very warm in March
Is Ibiza even exciting in spring?

What are you thoughts?
I've lived in both for six months. You can't go wrong with either one.
Personally, I absolutely love Brazil. There is a lot to do beyond Carnival in Rio de Jainero. It's an incredibly beautiful city. But, of course, if you're attending for Carnival, it basically effects everything else.
Ibiza will probably be a bit dead in March, but Barcelona and Madrid are always worth a visit. Unfortunately, never been to Rio so I can't really compare.

Hmm, that's interesting. I would really rather go in late spring or early fall but I am locked in a before 1 April deadline. Thanks for the feedback thus far, keep the comments coming.
Well, you're less likely to get kidnapped by a taxi driver in first-world Spain.
AVOID Ibiza!
