I agree. Finland is like a different planet from the rest of the world.

In the northern parts of sweden they are even more extremely reserved/introverted than you can ever imagine ...
Dont know about Japanese, but i dont think its possible to be more reserved than a "norrlänning"(person in the northern parts of Sweden).
I do my best to teach them about the northern way of life.

The most reserved country is Germany, at least in terms of sun loungers.

Many of the northern European countries have a similar reservedness. It's actually a pleasure to me to be around people who don't feel the need to make everyone aware of their presence. This goes for Scandinavians, Brits, Germans, Dutch and northern French. Of course, a few beers later and it's a whole different story, or if soccer is involved!

Get us Brits talking about soccer with a few pints of beer, and you'll have more to worry about then just words..

OK, don't argue people, because from Russian point of view, ALL WESTERN cultures are very reserved, with exception of Italians and Greeks.

PS. Finns are probably exception too, because Russians saw Finnish tourists in completely different light))))

Yeah, let's not argue... Guess what Russians are from the Polish point of view...

Then again, you guys are good drinkers, which is something which can't be said from all of our Western neighbours...

Finns and Russians are virtually the same people.

Don't tell them I said that though.

1. It takes more than ability to be "good drinkers" to be extroverted culture/nation. ( Because let's face it - what I dunno said about Brits is true also.)

2. It's irrelevant to me, what "Russians are from the Polish point of view," because every time I've dealt with Poles personally, it was nothing but very positive experience; I have nothing but good words to say.
The fact that some can sound cocky on-line does not change it a bit.
