Best part of the living in the USA: quality of life, convenience, freedom.
Worst part of the living in the USA: lack of universal free/low cost health care for all residents.

Does London and Glasgow really have such a huge divided difference between the western parts of each city vs. the eastern parts?

Also, is Leeds part of North Yorkshire and part of your best parts list?

That is surprising Liverpool is one of your least favorite places in UK/England (seems to be part of Merseyside).

Also, where does the city of Birmingham rank for you? What about Belfast area, and Eastern England around Norwich?

Harlem and the Upper East Side aren't far away. I'm sure you could say the same about those two. Actually Harlem isn't so bad anymore, maybe the Bronx. Clearly cities have huge differences within them.

I don't think Liverpool is part of Merseyside anymore, since city authorities were created to govern most of the larger cities. Manchester is no longer part of Lancashire either.

I visited the UK before. I also know plenty of things about UK/England/Scotland, especially for someone that never lived there and is not a UK citizen.

I already know the name of that area of the UK around Belfast (Northern Ireland). However that name sounds too similar to the actual country of Ireland so I decided to give that area around Belfast a different term.

I was just mentioning my opinions for what I think are the best and worst parts of the UK, and it was based on perception of Excitement/Things to do, How scenic it is, People in that local area, Economy, etc.

Based on this website link, it says Liverpool is part of Merseyside: Merseyside - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I didn’t mention Manchester/Lancashire anywhere.

I already know cities can have huge differences within them in plenty of cases, so I don’t know why you are mentioning that.

However, there is not usually not such a huge West vs. East difference in a city, since it still can vary in general West and East areas of a city most of the time.

Leeds is in West Yorkshire. I love Leeds but I'm not sure I'd say it's one of the best places to live - it really does depend though as it varies a lot.

As for Liverpool, it's a lovely city, beautiful for sure with some very wealthy districts, but Merseyside as a whole is quite depressing and has poor health and education records as well as high poverty levels.

And yes the difference between east and west London/Glasgow is huge, and I mean really huge. West Glasgow has some of the UK's most expensive streets and suburbs while east Glasgow has the lowest life expectancy the UK! East London is grim, and the borough of Tower Hamlets has the highest child poverty in the UK if I remember correctly while west London boroughs like Kensington/Chelsea are very wealthy with little poverty. In fact, Kenginston/Chelsea became the first borough in the UK where average earnings rose above £100,00/$157 560 a year some years ago.

Liverpool was part of Lancashire but it and its urban area were moved into the newly created Merseyside (named after the River Mersey of course) in the 70's. Basically all big urban areas of the UK were moved out of the traditional counties and into new metropolitan ones (Liverpool - Merseyside, Manchester - Greater Manchester, Leeds - West Yorkshire, Newcastle - Tyne & Wear, Glasgow - City of Glasgow (used to be in Lanarkshire).

The area in and around Paris seems like one of the best parts of France. That is surprising that you view it as one of the worst areas.

Nord Pas De Calais seems to be the northernmost part of France that borders Belgium. The city/town of Lille and the interesting location it has redeems it enough being close by from Belgium, UK/England, and Netherlands, and just 2 hours away from Brussels and London.

Most French people I encountered seem to dislike the Brittany area of France with a passion. lol

I don’t know enough about Southwest France to form substantial opinions about it. That is one of the most unknown areas of France to me.

When you refer to Provence, are you talking about Provence Alpes Cote d’ Azur and Southeastern France in general? If that is the case, that is also one of my favorite parts of France.

These are some of my favorite parts of France from what I know about them:

Paris
Provence Alpes Cote d’ Azur/Southeastern France in general
Lyon (Part of Rhone)
Marseille
Toulon
Nice
Cannes (Marseille/Toulon/Nice/Cannes are all part of Provence Cote d’Azur)
Toulouse
Grenoble (Part of Rhone)
The Alps and Pyrenees
Rhone and Franche-Comte in Eastern France
Nord Pas De Calais in Northern France
Lorraine and Alsace in Northeastern France
