I never thought tea had anything to do with gender!
Neither did I, but I have heard the phrase "tea with the ladies" more than once in the U.S. to describe social interactions between well-heeled suburban women.

I think it's more to do with having afternoon tea, in pretty China with cakes and what not, than just drinking tea by itself.
I just buy what I see as I'm buying coffee or tea. Many times it's Ghirardelli. I love dark chocolate, so I don't complain if it tastes half-way decent. I actually prefer tea to coffee by a wide margin, and when I order it at a hotel in Europe for breakfast, they ask me if I'm English. My answer: "Hardly, almost North African." I especially like Earl Grey. Not only is it delicious, tea doesn't give a person coffee breath. That harkens back to grade school when teachers who smoked and drank coffee would lean over your desk to say something to you. Bleh.
And for breakfast at this moment, I'm having tea with Ghiradelli chocolate, mint flavored specifically.
I'm hearing about tea. Up until I was about 9 or 10, I've often seen tea portrayed in America as either a feminine thing, especially after seeing little girls having tea parties. It also came as a result of seeing mostly women drinking tea, mainly these flavored iced teas.
America is a backward country anything that is,???? (I don't even know how to explain it), is called gay. Like if a man dresses really well, people call it gay.
anything that a man does maybe slightly different is labeled as that.
Meanwhile women can do, look, say anything and no one blinks an eye...but if a man does anything, it is labeled
It is sickening that Americans do this.
